FT1A compact
The compact FT1A PLCs are IDEC’s brick-type PLCs. The unique FT1A TOUCH is a PLC and HMI in one, making it ideal for compact machines. The FT1A TOUCH also supports expansion cartridges for analog signals and temperature sensors.
A remarkable feature of the FT1A PLC series is that these compact PLCs come with numerous certifications, including:
CE, UL/CSA, ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), DNV-GL (Det Norske Veritas / Germanischer Lloyd), LR (Lloyd’s Register), and NK (NIPPON KAIJI KYOKAI).

There are choices to be made regarding the number of inputs and outputs (I/O) of the PLC. The 220-volt version always comes with relay outputs, while the 24-volt version offers transistor outputs and/or relay outputs. The standard compact FT1A PLCs are available in four variants: 12, 24, 40, or 48 I/O (Inputs/Outputs). By building a network of PLCs using remote I/O, the number of I/Os can be expanded up to a maximum of 144 I/O.
The FT1A LITE is a basic PLC, designed to be as cost-effective as possible, featuring a number of inputs and outputs, but without a display or function keys—essentially a black box for the simplest applications.
If you do need a display and function keys, there's the FT1A PRO. This version allows external control of the PLC and provides a way to communicate information to the user or operator.
Need an HMI (Human-Machine Interface)? Then choose the FT1A PRO or the FT1A TOUCH. This is a combination of a PLC and a touchscreen, offering integrated control and interaction.
